Planning tools had become too heavy, too slow, or too rigid for how I actually work as a founder.

Trello was still useful in spirit, but dated in the details. The AI era wants a board that can help you think, create, organize, and move.

Superboard started from frustration. I hit Trello's card limit while trying to move fast, got annoyed, and built an AI-native Trello replacement for myself in a night.

Then I exported my whole Trello board for You.one as JSON and imported it into Superboard. The replacement had to work with the real working memory, not a toy board.

I gave Trello a couple of days, complained on X, and got no useful answer. So I moved on.

The first version is intentionally close to the work: fast boards, practical creation, and a path toward an AI-native control plane for modern teams.

The best product bets often start with a very specific frustration and a builder who refuses to keep tolerating the old interface.

AI does not just belong inside the product. It changes how the product gets imagined, designed, built, operated, and measured.
