Now / You.one
The 2026 version of 1-800-HELP.
I had the vision while driving across America: AI should be something anyone can use to get real help for real life. Not a blank box. Not a prompt class. One clear next step.
Video summary: You.one is AI for real life. No blank prompt box, no prompt class, one clear next step at a time.
What I saw
The AI industry made something unbelievably powerful, then gave it an interface for power users, enterprises, and prompt engineers.
Regular people were left with a blinking cursor. The grandparent, the waitress, the overwhelmed parent, the person having a brutal day, the person who needs help but does not know what to ask.
Why it mattered
This intelligence should be fighting for every single person. It can help with dinner, housing, relationships, money, grief, work, health questions, decisions, and the small ordinary moments where people get stuck.
But chat asks the person to do too much of the work. You.one is my correction to that mistake.
The KPI is Help Delivered. The business only wins when the person gets real help. Tips & success shares - or nothing.
What I built / did
You.one is a guided, tap-tap-tap way to make progress on anything. The Guide does the background thinking and keeps the person moving one clear step at a time.
It can help someone figure out dinner from what is in the fridge, get emotional support after a brutal day, make a single clear recommendation for an Airbnb or apartment, or find a creative path forward when they are stuck.
The deeper version is even more personal: looking out for what matters to you, doing research for you, comparing options, and eventually taking action on your behalf.
What I learned
The interface is the product. If the AI is powerful but the person still has to become clever enough to use it, the system is not carrying enough of the burden.
Care, pacing, defaults, and small steps matter as much as raw intelligence.
Where it is now
You.one is in beta and moving toward v1 launch. I am building it from zero with Codex and frontier AI tooling as my main build partner.
It is already strong. The thesis feels more obvious every week.
